KPVFC along with Quint 31 (Brideport #1) were dispatched to a report of smoke in a dwelling. Upon arrival A/C Thomas discovered smoke showing from a 2 story split level dwelling & assumed the Incident Commander Role. The working fire dispatch added Rescue 49 (Swedesburg), Rescue 27 (Fairmount of Norristown) for the Rapid Intervention Team and a Paramedic Unit. First arriving crews placed numerous handlines in service, performed searches and ventilated while cutting off the rapidly extending fire. An extra engine from station 32 (Goodwill of Bpt.) was added helping bring the fire under control in approximately 30 minutes. Standby companies at KPVFC were Engine 68 (Valley Forge), Squad 15 (Radnor) and Tower 63 (Oaks).
