Monday, April 2, 2012 Just after 3pm Squad 47 was dispatched for a cover-up assignment at Station 27-E (Hancock Fire Co).  The Norristown Fire Department and a few other mutual aid companies were operating at a basement fire in the East end of the Borough.  While enroute to the cover-up, Squad 47 and the other standby companies were alerted for an elevator rescue in the north end of town.  Fortunately the subject that was trapped was able to remove himself prior to the units arriving.  Squad 47 eventually made its way to 27-E were the crew remained in service for approximately an hour under the direction of Assistant Chief Mark Thomas.
