KPVFC Celebrates 4th of July

Wednesday, July 4, 2012 The members of the King of Prussia Volunteer Fire Company spent this Independence Day in the community. The celebration started in the morning by attending the annual 4th of July parade through the Cannon Run section of King of Prussia. Spectators lined the streets as apparatus from the KPVFC followed the parade of neighborhood kids who decorated their bicycles and wagons in red, white and blue. The parade ended on Elliott Drive where the kids enjoyed freeze pops as well as other snacks and the adults got to mingle with their neighbors. The evening capped off by Upper Merion Township hosting a fireworks celebration at Heuser Park. Since the park is within the KPVFC’s 1st response district, we were committed to working with the Fire Marshal’s office and other township officials to ensure the event went on without a glitch. Fortunately, no major incidents were reported and a great show was enjoyed by all.
