The action on Sunday continued as the fire company was dispatched to The Court at the King Of Prussia Mall for a “Rescue”. The notes from county dispatch reported that people were trapped under a ceiling that had collapsed. KPVFC, Lafayette EMS and Upper Merion Police units arrived to find a 15’ by 40’ area of ceiling from an exterior overhang that had collapsed into an outdoor dining area. One person was injured during the collapsed and was removed from the debris prior to the arrival of the fire department. Crews from Rescue 47 and Squad 47 assisted EMS with packaging the patient for transport to the hospital while members also checked the stability of the structure to ensure a secondary collapsed was not probable. Units cleared the scene in about an hour after turning the scene over to Mall management. Also assisting on the scene was a representative from the office of Upper Merion Code Enforcement.
