Late Sunday night the King of Prussia Volunteer Fire Fighters were called to the King of Prussia Plaza for a dumpster fire. Upper Merion Police units reported a well involved construction dumpster with embers flying onto the roof of the mall. Chief 47 (Jenaway), based off this report, requested the building fire dispatch. Engine 47-1 (Allendale Road Station) arrived first and placed a hoseline in service. Tower 47 (Beidler Road Station) arrived soon after and checked the roof area above the dumpster for spot fires. When no fire extension was found the mutual aid units were recalled and Station 47 units cleared in about an hour.
