The busy days continued for the KPVFC as members were awakened early at 2am for a fire alarm activation at Arden Court on West Valley Forge Road. Unfortunately, the fire company returned at 5am for another activation of the fire alarm system. In the evening another crew on Squad 47 returned to Norristown to provide fire response duty while more festivities occurred for the firemen’s convention. Crews once again provided six hours of coverage to the borough working alongside the career firefighters from the Norristown Fire Department. While members were in Norristown, the company responded, first due, to a reported building fire at the Lafayette at Valley Forge Apartments. Crews determined the reported odor of smoke was the result of an electrical issue with the elevator.
