2nd Pin Job Within a Week

Sunday, October 28, 2012 Just past noon the KPVFC was dispatched for a vehicle accident with entrapment at Croton Road and South Warner Road.  Chief 47 (Jenaway) and Assistant Chief 47-2 (Keszczyk) arrived to find a single vehicle accident involving a S.U.V. on its side with one victim trapped. Rescue 47 arrived and immediately stabilized the vehicle using the Junkyard Dog stabilization system. Crews cut the topside “A” and “B” post while cutting the roof in half with the sawzall. After the windshield was also cut the roof was flapped down allowing plenty of access for the victim to be removed. Engine 47-2 and Squad 47 also made the response along with U.M.P.D. and Lafayette EMS.
