2009 Fire Service Award for Excellence

The International Association of Fire Chiefs has recongized the KPVFC Fire Prevention and Life Safety Education Program at the Fire Rescue International Conference held in Dallas, Texas. The fire co was one of the seven recipients to receive the US Safety Engineering Award for Excellence. The KPVFC would like to congratulate the other six recipients.
2008 Participating Department Certification
given by Office of the State Fire Commissioner

The King of Prussia VFC received official recognition from the Office of the State Fire Commissioner for volunatry participating in firefighter certification. The fire company personnel met or exceeded nationally recognized training standards. The fire company and the fire commissioner’s office have verified that 75% of the membership met these qualification standards. In 2000, the fire company was first recognized at the 10% level and in 2007 the fire company was recognized at the 50% level.
2008 Voluntary Rescue Service Recognition
given by Office of the State Fire Commissioner and the Pennsylvania Department of Health

The King of Prussia VFC is recognized by the PA Dept of Health and Montgomery County Department of Public Safety for meeting training and equipment standards for the Advanced Level Rescue Operations. The Vol Rescue Service Recognition program in PA is to provide statewide standards of rescue service equipment, personnel training and staffing, communications, reporting, and operations.

CFAI Accredited Agency Status
given by Commission of Fire Accreditation International

The Commission on Fire Accreditation grants accreditation to fire and emergency service agencies upon the successful completion of an in-depth self assessment, and on-site evaluation, approval by a majority of the Commission's members, and a pledge to support education, data collection and research with respect to fire and emergency service accreditation.
The fire company is the first volunteer department to receive this recognition and was originally accredited in 2000 and re-accredited in 2005.
